James Jerome Wiese Sr. went home to his maker this past Sunday, January 8th, 2017.
He was born September 9th, 1927, to Jack Wiese and Florence (Formann). Graduated from High School, Drummond, Wisconsin. Enlisting in the Marines in 1950, he retired in 1980 as CWO-4 with Duty Stations in California, Massachusetts, Virginia, Japan, Vietnam, Hawaii, and North Carolina. Active with many Civic, Veteran and Masonic Organizations including; Founding Commander - VFW Post 9133, CMDR -DAV Chapter 16 N.C., Past President - Onslow County, N.C. Veterans Organization, Life Member Masonic Lodge - Semper Fidelis, #680, Pres. National Sojourners Ch. 329, member - Commander Heroes of 76, Marine Corps League (life), and The Devil Dogs.
Preceded in death by wife, Judith (Lee), from Clinton, Massachusetts, 1952-2001. Relocating to Colorado Springs in 2002, he met and Married Anna (Vaughn).
Survived by wife, Anna; sister, Jacqueline Hooker; children, Brad (and Elaine), Jim Jr. (and Alejandra), and Joni Cooperrider; step-daughter, Elisabeth (Karl) Reul; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, January 16th at First Lutheran Church, 1515 N. Cascade, Colorado Springs.
