Stewart Ivey King, 66, of Trenton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, surrounded by his family and friends. Born in Lenoir County, he was the son of the late Ivey and Alma King of Comfort.
Stewart was a Service Truck Driver with the N.C. Department of Transportation. He was an avid fisherman and hunter; was the life of every party and had the biggest heart of anyone. Stewart loved people and everyone loved Stewart.
Survivors include the two loves of his life, his wife of forty-two years, Betty Jean King and his dog, "Baby Girl"; sister, Angie Faulkner and husband Bob of Raleigh; niece Carmen; and a tremendous family of friends.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home, 1608 W. Vernon Avenue, Kinston, with the Rev. Bud Morton officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26 at Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery, 4641 Church Road, Newton Grove.
