GREENVILLE | Mary Williams Bradley, 80, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side in her home, July 17, 2014.

A private memorial service will be held for the immediate family. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Born April 22, 1934 in Duplin County, she was one of 14 children. Growing up in a large family, she was well balanced, working on the farm, and taking care of brothers and sisters.

In 1970, she married Crudie O. Bradley and together they built a life in Greenville with their four children. Mary was a homemaker and an amazing wife and mother whose first joy was always her family. She is remembered for her warm smile and welcoming nature and for her generosity and kindness with family and friends. She enjoyed helping others, gardening and cooking. A woman of strong faith and devotion, she was a faithful witness and servant to Jehovah God.

Mary is survived by her daughter Jennifer B. Jones, son-in-law Steven, daughter Michelle B. Chandler and son-in-law Michael, all of Greenville; by son Bill Bradley and daughter-in-law Marlene of Washington, N.C.; by son Noel Bradley and wife Juanita, of Willow Springs, N.C.; by six grandchildren, Campbell Rae Jones, Layton Michael Chandler, Stefanie Dawn Bradley, Sharon Bradley Schaaf, Garrett Noel Bradley and Jason Carter Bradley; and by five great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind three sisters Patricia (Trit) W. Cole of Potters Hill, N.C., Julia W. Quinn of Kinston, N.C. and Jenny W. Taylor of Goldsboro, N.C. and a brother, Allen Williams of Wallace, N.C.

The family gives special thanks to Alfreda Knight, Mary Chance, Deborah Parker, Antoinette Thomas and Beulah Stevenson, caregivers who did an outstanding job for Mary during the last year of her life. Also, the family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Tae Lee, who exceeded all expectations in the care he provided her, and to Toni Windley and AseraCare Hospice for allowing her to live her last days at home.
