Louis Flagg Jr.


Louis Francis Flagg Jr., 73, of Jacksonville, died Dec. 26, 2012, at Onslow Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31 at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville. Burial with full military honors will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

He retired from the U.S. Marine Corps having served during Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of Society of Mayflower Descendants and Children of the American Revolution.

Survivors include his wife, Sara Flagg of the home; daughters, Sara Flagg and Louise Black, both of Valparaiso, Ind., Joanna Flagg of Hobart, Ind., and Alexandra Rosado of New Port Richey, Fla.; sons, Edward Flagg of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Paul Flagg of Weeki Wachee, Fla.; sisters, Linda Strohmayer of Golden Valley, Minn., and Julia Graham of Minneapolis; and stepchildren, Steve Krause, Cathy Llams, Brenda Krause and Shelly Dickerson.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
