Annice Ellis Obituary

Mrs. Annice Harless Ellis of West Jefferson died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at Margate Health and Rehab Center. She was 77.

Mrs. Ellis was born Sept. 19, 1936, in Ashe County to Marvin and Gladys Hartzog Harless.

Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Ellis is survived by her husband, Charles Lincoln Ellis Sr.; three sons, Charles Ellis Jr. and wife Teresa, James Marvin Ellis, and David Weldon Ellis and wife Debbie, all of West Jefferson; two grandchildren, Sandra Osborne and Nathan Ellis; and one great-grandchild, Jacob Ellis.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at the Ellis Family Cemetery by Rev. Wayne Jones, Rev. Ken Morris and Rev. Phil Arnold. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at Badger Funeral Home.

Flowers will be appreciated, or memorials may be made to American Cancer Society c/o Donna Gentry, 305 Rayfield Acres Road, West Jefferson, NC 28694.
