Mr. John "Jack" Whitehouse of West Jefferson died peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Greensboro. He was 67.
Mr. Whitehouse was born March 24, 1947, to Raymond and Ruby Whitehouse.
Mr. Whitehouse was preceded in death by his parents; brother Jerry; sister Sandra; and sister Cynthia.
He was a loving father and grandfather and leaves behind many good memories. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and former Greyhound bus driver. He loved to travel. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and enjoyed being active at the Ashe Services for the Aging senior center.
Mr. Whitehouse is survived by a daughter, Heather Fowler and son-in-law Andy of New Jersey; brother, Ray Whitehouse of Corpus Christi, Texas; one grandson; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Owen Peeler. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
