Mrs. Louise Graham Lewis of Concord died Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at the Big Elm Nursing Center in Kannapolis. She was 96.

Mrs. Lewis was born Nov. 3, 1917, in Ashe County to George and Della Greene Oliver.

Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 43 years, William Reece (Bill) Graham in 1977 and later; Carson Lewis in 1986; one sister, Lucy Posten; and one brother, Bill Oliver.

Mrs. Lewis was a long time faithful member of Blackburn's Chapel United Methodist Church and active in Eastern Star for a number of years. She loved to cook, was an avid reader and an excellent seamstress.

Mrs. Lewis is survived by two sons, Charles Graham and Reece Graham of West Jefferson; one daughter, Betsy Graham of Concord; one sister, Georgia Davis of West Jefferson; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Blackburn's Chapel United Methodist Church by Pastor Lyndsi Long and Rev. Jeff McClain. Burial will follow in Graham Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Friday prior to the service.
