Elizabeth Bettenhausen

Bettenhausen, Elizabeth "Beth" Deuchler Age 87 of Kankakee, IL died November 11, 2012. She was born March 21, 1925 in Aurora, IL to Walter E. and Nell Heifner Deuchler, Sr. She married the late William C. Bettenhausen on November 29, 1947. Mrs. Bettenhausen was a homemaker and a volunteer. She was an active member of United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Will County Homemakers. Graduate of Aurora West High School, she attended teh University of Illinois, active in Girl Scouts of America and 4-H leader and was a world traveler and collected nativity sets from around the world. Survivors include Edward and Robyn (Weinstein) Bettenhausen of Morton Grove, IL, Kenneth and Jean (McMahon) Bettenhausen of Boulder, CO, Elizabeth (Betsy) and Donald Flett of Bonfield, IL and Kathryn Finn of Marion, IL; her brother and sister-in-law, Walter E. and Suzanne Deuchler of Aurora, IL; 12 grandchildren, Benjamin and Melanie Bettenhausen, Rachel and Timm McMahon, Brian, Kevin, and Megan Bettenhausen, Steven Flett, Kevin and Kelly Flett, Sean Finn, Jennifer Finn, Abigail, Yael and Micah Bettenhausen and 3 great-grandchildren, Kona and Mahina Bettenhausen, Luna Beth McMahon She is preceded in death by her husband and her parents, Walter E. and Nell Deuchler. Funeral services are at 11:30 am at Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home, 1480 W. Court St., Kankakee, IL where visitation will be Saturday November 17, from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be at Green Garden Greenview Cemetery, Manhattan, IL. Memorials may be made to UMCOR (United Methodist Committee in Relief) or for family wishes.
