John P. Briick Obituary
Briick, John P. "Jack" Age 83, of West Dundee passed away on Friday evening, surrounded by family at the Pepper Family Hospice Home & Care Center in Barrington. Jack was born on June 26, 1929 in Joliet, IL, the son of the late Herbert and Anna (nee Dockendorf) Briick. On September 8, 1951, he married Dietta Lang. Jack was a resident of West Dundee for the almost 60 years and attended the First United Methodist Church in West Dundee. Jack was a Surety Bondsman for the construction industry and was President of Briick & Co. He was also a W.W. II Marine Corp veteran. Survivors include his beloved wife of 61 years, Dietta; their daughters, Aleta (George) Piper, Andie Briick and Misty (Bob) Naaf; his grandchildren, Emily (Keith) Garnett, Karl and Derek Naaf, and his great-granddaughter, Addie Garnett. Other survivors include his sister, Cele Ann (Chuck) Bona; his brothers, Herbert (MaryLou) Briick and David Briick, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his grandson, Drew P. Piper. Memorial Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013 at Noon in the First United Methodist Church 318 W. Main Street in West Dundee with Rev. Steve Mindrup, Pastor officiating. Burial will be private. The Briick family will be receiving friends at the church on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, West Dundee. The Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee is assisting the family with all arrangements.
