Antoinette L. Thomas (nee Bertotti) "Auntie" passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side, on Saturday, May 24, 2014. Age 89.
Survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Edwin F. Thomas; her three nieces and a nephew, Maureen Chytracek, Jeffrey Majetic, Pamela (Tom) Burns and Mary Beth Bertotti; two great-nieces, Marley Majetic and Sarah McCartney; four great-nephews, Michael E. (Lisa), Marc (Cassandra), Matthew and Scott Chytracek; great-great-nieces, great-great nephews and a very close family friend, Joann King also survive.
Preceded in death by a daughter, Dr. Cheryl Lynn Thomas; her parents, Vincent and Mary (nee Chiapetto) Bertotti; a sister, Margaret Majetic; and a brother, Peter Bertotti.
Member of the Cantigny Post #367 Ladies Auxillary and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #300. She enjoyed bowling and was a wonderful baker.
A loving and devoted wife, mom, sister and "Auntie" who will be dearly missed by all.
A special thank you to the caregivers, Becky and Tammy, for their kindness, compassion and dedication given to both "Annette" and Edwin.
Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded.
Memorials in her name to
will be appreciated.
Inurnment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
