Baskall, George - Sterling  
George Jake Baskall, 90 of Sterling, passed away Thurs., Dec. 11, 2014 in Aurora. Visitation will be from 10am until 4pm, Thurs., Dec. 18 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. There will be visitation at 10am on Fri., Dec. 19 at the Holy Name Catholic Church, 3290 W. Milan Ave., Sheridan, CO with Recitation of the Rosary at 10:30am. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am, Fri, Dec. 19 at the Holy Name Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver at 2:15pm, staging area C. George was born Dec. 16, 1923 to George Frank and Elizabeth Weingardt Baskall in Denver, CO. He served during WWII in the U. S. Navy and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. George worked many years for the Sterling Police Department and the State Patrol in Golden until his retirement. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, American Legion Post No. 20, VFW Post 3541, BPO Elks Lodge No 1336 and the Knights of Columbus. George is survived by a son George Baskall, daughter Dianne Olsen, brothers Bill Baskall, Robert Baskall and Richard Baskall, sisters Jeannette Leigh and Dolores Billingsley and three grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jim, Louis, Alex, Lawrence and Joe and sister Betty Ann.

Bass, Mary - North Platte  
Mary Marguerite Bass, 73, of Ogallala, Neb., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, at Great Plains Health in North Platte, Neb. Mary was born May 22, 1941, to David Emil and Ada Leone Rowley Strawser at Fort Wayne, Ind., where she grew up. On June 6, 1960, Mary married Jack Dan Bass in Sterling, and to this union three children, David, Christina and Jacqueline, were born. They lived in Sterling, Shreveport, La., Mesa, Ariz., and Albuquerque, N.M., before returning to Sterling. In 2007 Mary moved to Ogallala to be closer to her son. When the kids were young, Mary was involved with their activities and she was always a great mom. She was also a devoted animal lover. She is survived by her children, David Bass of Ogallala, Christina Lynn Garcia of Albuquerque, N.M. and Jacqueline Sue Bass of Shreveport, La.; five grandchildren, Jody Lee and Amanda Teko Philyaw, Valerie Marie Silver, Anthony Cruz and Jonathan David Garcia; three great-grandchildren, Brenna, Casey and Cameron; and other family. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, David and Ada Strawser; and two sisters, Gwendolyn Rose Jensen and Joyce Fultz. Cremation was chosen. Condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com. Frank, Benjamin - Sterling  
Benjamin "Ben" James Frank was born on June 25, 1977 in Sterling, CO to Don and Terrie Frank. He graduated from CalicheHigh School in 1996 where he excelled in football, basketball, and track. He enjoyed rock and coin collecting, arrowhead hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time with family and friends. He worked in construction all of his life. He was a caring and generous man and he will be missed and fondly remembered by all of his family and friends. He is survived by his daughter Alexys Frank of Woodland Park, CO; parents Don and Terrie Frank of Peetz; brother Joe Frank and wife Kori of Merino; nephews Matthew, Andrew, Tyler, Jacob, and Caleb all of Merino; aunts and uncles Bill Frank and wife Bonnie of Sterling, Ginny Frank of Sterling, Mary Hall and husband Dean of Montrose, Linda Woehrman of Colorado Springs, Janice Frank-Tappy and husband Brian of Sterling, Chris Lechman and husband Bob of Greeley; 11 cousins; special friends Beth Held and Mike Seelye. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Joe and Ruby Frank, maternal grandmother Thelma Thompson, uncles Bob Frank and Tom Frank. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Harmon, Ray - Sterling  
Raymond "Ray" Dyrall Harmon, 77, of Iliff passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 in Iliff. He will be cremated, and a gathering of remembrance and burial of remains will be held at a later time in the spring. Ray was born on February 8, 1937 to Fred and Mary Marie (Davidson) Harmon where his two brothers, Gene and Lester, and sister Bonnie grew up on a farm in Champion, Nebraska. He attended school in Imperial, Nebraska. He became a truck driver for an oil rig company and made a lifetime career as a truck driver for many companies. He married Martha Joann Gaunt, where 3 children were born: Cindy Harmon, Randy Harmon, and Lilly (Harmon) Baum. They later divorced in 1975. He met Eileen (Dickinson) Harmon and was married in July 1988 until her passing in March of 2004. He was also survived by his life long friend and partner Helga Peetz of Sterling and found a lot of pleasure in companionship with her and her kids and family. He is survived by his brothers Gene and Lester; sister Bonnie Smith; son Randy of Denver; daughters Cindy Harmon of Wyoming and Lilly Baum of Brighton; many nephews and nieces. Memorials may be made to the Ray Harmon Memorial Fund in care of Tennant Funeral Home, PO Box 1547, Sterling, CO 80751.
