Carlleen Joan (Temple) Fehrenbach(1929 - 2013)

The children of Carlleen Joan (Temple) Fehrenbach announce the return of her soul unto the Lord on Dec. 22, 2013. Celebration of her life is to begin Thursday, Dec. 26, with a viewing at 5 p.m. and Vigil and Rosary at 6 p.m. at the Tennant Funeral Home, Sterling. A funeral mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Dec. 27, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and conclude at the Peetz, Colorado Cemetery.

She was born in Sidney, Nebraska on Feb. 26, 1929, to the parents of Marguerite and Carl Temple. As a child, Carlleen resided on a ranch outside of Peetz until she married William Joseph Fehrenbach on July 19, 1947. They lived in Peetz, and Ness City and Oakley, Kan., as they raised their family.

Carlleen enjoyed raising and spending time with her surviving children, sons and spouses: Joe and Becky Fehrenbach of Australia, Ray and Julie Fehrenbach of Florida, Dennis and Maureen Fehrenbach of Washington, Kenny and Belen of the Philippines, Marvin and Tracy Fehrenbach of Colorado; and daughters and spouses, Pat and John Greer of Liberal, Kan.; Terri Carlton of Wichita, Kan., Phyllis and Louis Miller of Sedalia, Rose and Tom Smith of Topeka, Kan., and Midge and Fred Walters of Halstead, Kan.

She retained her youth by enjoying nature and sharing her life with her 26 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; three sons; and her parents, Harry S. (stepfather) and Marguerite Ayres of Peetz.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Peetz Cemetery in care of Tennant Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1547, Sterling, CO 80751.
