Helen Pacheco

Helen Lorraine Pacheco, 94, of Fort Worth, peacefully went to meet her Maker on April 3, 2014 with her son, Michael L. Pacheco, and daughter, Rita M. Pacheco, by her side.A "Celebration of Life" Memorial will be held at 10 A. M. Saturday, April 26, in Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes. Inurnment will be on a later date at the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Ore. Helen graduated in 1966 from Northeastern Junior College with a Licensed Practical Nursing degree and worked at several nursing homes and doctors' offices in Sterling. She retired at the age of 70 from the Logan County Area Agency on Aging. Helen lived a full life and touched many lives with her smile, caring ways and her love and devotion to the Lord. The family would like to thank Covenant Hospice and their staff for the compassionate care and support provided. Helen is survived by her sons, Michael L. Pacheco and wife, Brooke, of Fort Worth, Buck Karp of Scappoose, Ore., Edward "Buddy" Karp Jr. and wife, Margaret, of Washington, William Pacheco and wife, Emilee, of Austin, Texas, Angelo Pacheco and wife, Karen, of Beaverton, Ore.; daughters, Jane Hegele and husband Ed Hegele of Lagrande, Ore., Carrol Baldwin and husband Donald Baldwin of Loveland, Joyce Ducham and husband Leo Ducham of Oregon, Rita Pacheco of Fort Worth; 25 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Peter A. Pacheco, and son, Bobby Karp, of Minnesota.
