Wesley W. Clem, 70, of Hillrose, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at his home. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, at the Heer Mortuary, 222 Cameron St., in Brush. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Aug. 27, at 10:30 a.m. at the Wildwood Bible Church, 411 Lee St., in Merino. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 1, 1942, in Belle Fourche, S.D., to Charles and Loretta (Waite) Clem. He served in the Navy then worked as an electrician for the majority of his life.
Wesley married Janice Rauth in Crook on March 25, 1966. They have lived in Washington County area since 1976.
Wesley attended the Cowboy Church in Brush. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Brush, American Legion Post 19, Fort Morgan, and the Elks Lodge No. 1143, Fort Morgan. He enjoyed being active in the Fort Morgan Museum, helping with the veterans display there. He also enjoyed reading and farming. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Clem of Hillrose; his daughter, Gina Dardanes and her husband, Greg of Brush; his sons, Bill Clem and his wife, Jennifer of Thornton, and Samuel Clem of Malta, N.Y.; his five grandchildren, Alex Clem and Will Clem, Erica Dardanes, Darrian Dardanes, and Nick Dardanes; his brother, Leroy Clem and his wife, Larayne of St. Paul, Minn.; and his sister, Charlene Atteberry and her husband, Keith of Palmer, Ark.
Wesley was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Kay Babb.
