Charlotte Mae Kasper, 82, of Merino, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, in Greeley. Visitation will start at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, at Tennant Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, with Bruce Gentry officiating.
Charlotte was born on Aug. 18, 1931, in Merino to Adolph Doleshall and Elsie Mae Davis. She graduated from Merino High School.
She worked for the Merino School District as a bus driver and a teacher's aide. She was also a pep club supporter and loved working with all the children.
Charlotte married Wayne Kasper on Aug. 19, 1949; they were married for 64 years.
Charlotte had a thirst for knowledge her entire life. She loved learning about new people, places, and adventures. She adored her grandchildren, loved animals, and truly enjoyed raising African violets, orchids, and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Kasper; sons, Larry and wife Sherry, Dean and wife Sherre, Jim, Rob and wife Dawn; daughter, Peggy Kasper; sister, Doris Francis; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Elsie Mae; brother, Charles Doleshall; grandsons, Jim Kasper and Kyle Kasper; daughter-in-law, Kal Kasper.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in Charlotte's behalf to the Dave Walsh Cancer Center, Hospice of the Plains, or the Charlotte Kasper Memorial Fund in care of Tennant Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1547, Sterling, CO 80751.
