Richard "Dick" Melvin Craig passed away unexpectedly at age 60, on November 1, 2017 in Sterling, CO. Richard grew up in Mankato, MN as part of a large, close-knit family. Dick graduated from Mankato West High School in 1975. He obtained a BSN from Mankato State University and continued his nursing career in the Army Nursing Corps, finalizing his education with a CRNA from the VA school of Anesthesiology in 1994. After his army service, Dick worked as a CRNA in Marionette, WI, Lake City, MN, & Sterling, CO. While in the Army, Dick met fellow army nurse, Cindy Wheat, and they married in 1991. He will be sorely missed by Cindy; his children, Ian and Emily; his father, Melvin Craig; siblings, Julia (Larry), Ruth, Kathy, David (Kindle), Paul (Tracy), Jane, Mike (Kim); and many nieces, nephews, and furry friends. His family is grateful for the presence in recent years of his special friend, Kimi Williams. Preceded in death by his mother, LaVonne Craig. Dear Cindy, Ian and Emily,
Thinking about Dick and all of you this season, two years since Dick passed away. I hope you are all adjusting to life now without Dick, and able to move forward, yet knowing a huge part of the life you shared together is always a part of you. Seek God in all things, and there is healing and happiness here for you and so many who have lost loved ones.
Blessings alway, Drew Campbell class of 1975 Mankato West High.

Richard is a loveable man, and I still cannot get over that I will not see him here again in this world. Gods Love and Healing sorround all of you now and during the new year of 2018.
