Richard "Dick" Bledsoe, 61, of Cedar Park, Texas, died on March 9, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Services are pending in Texas with additional services to be held in Colorado at a later date to be announced.
Dick was born Dec. 11, 1951, to Austin and Meryl Bledsoe of Fleming. He graduated from Fleming High School in 1970 and continued his education at University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, graduating with an accounting degree.
Dick worked for Texas Medicaid and Healthcare Partnership in Austin, Texas, as an auditor. Dick is a veteran of the U.S. Army, having spent time in Thailand during the Vietnam War.
Dick is well known for his wonderful sense of humor, his love of NASCAR and weekly poker games.
Dick is survived by his son, Matthew; grandson, Josh of Roundrock, Texas; brothers, Gary Bledsoe of Fleming, Jim Bledsoe and wife Carol of Mead; nephews, Tom Bledsoe and wife Tara, Jeff Bledsoe of Cheyenne, Wyo.; niece, Jennifer Friehe and husband Brad of Culbertson, Neb.; and great-nieces, Chessney, Cheyenne, Chase Friehe and Mariah Bledsoe.
Dick is preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Meryl Bledsoe; infant sister; and numerous aunts and uncles.
