Thomas Warnke Obituary
Thomas David Warnke, 82 of Merino, passed away Tues., June 24, 2014 in Merino. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be 1:00 p.m. Sun, June 29 at the American Legion in Sterling. A private family inurnment to take place at a later date. Tom was born Nov. 11, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio to Walter Augustes and Marie Bremmer Warnke. He attended elementary schools in Toledo, continuing his education, graduating from high school in Fort Worth, Texas. He owned and operated his own carpentry and television service businesses. He married Gayle Edwards in Toledo, Ohio and they were married for eight years. He later married Helen B. Orback in Denver and was married for forty-two years before she passed away in 2002. Tom was the founder and CEO of "Old Farts Club" in Merino. He enjoyed fishing, craft carpentry, highway 36 and 34 road trips, mountain camping and playing horseshoes and shuffle board games. He is survived by sons Tom Warnke, Jr. of Berthoud, CO, Terry Warnke of Merino, CO, Rick Warnke of Broomfield, David Warnke of Lakewood ,CO; daughters Debbie Morgan of Sterling, CO, Kathy Henry of Sterling, CO, Sandy Digby of Toledo, Ohio, Brenda Seader of Brighton, CO, Jacqui Conrad of Golden, CO; brothers Don Warnke of Toledo, Ohio, Jerry Warnke of Arvada, CO; sisters JoAnne Emerson of Kent, WA, Marge Powers of Vancouver, WA; 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren. Tom was preceded in death by first wife Gayle Warnke and second wife Helen Orback. Contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Plains in memory of Tom Warnke.
