Ella Imhof Mustain

1915 - 2013 | Obituary Condolences
Ella Imhof Mustain went to sleep and woke up at Jesus' breakfast table Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 26, at 11 a.m. at the Sterling Church of the Nazarene at 1600 N. Logan. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service.

Ella was born in Wellfleet, Neb. on November 3, 1915 to Daniel and Bertha (Panzer) Imhof. As a child she moved with her family to a farm south of Fleming, in the Lone Star community, where she lived until getting married. On March 26, 1936 she married Delbert Mustain and moved her suitcase and piano to his farm 2 1/2 miles down the road. This was her home for the next 57 years.
Ella loved working on the farm and enjoyed all of the animals. She was thankful she was able to raise her family on the farm.
Seven children were born to Ella and Delbert. As young parents they also opened their home to a teen girl, Lucille Zeiler, and she has remained a part of the family thereafter.
Family and God were important to Ella. Ella was a living example of walking in faith, trusting God for everything.
Ella was preceded in death by her husband Delbert, son Clyde, and son Jerry.
She is survived by three daughters: Alice (Rod) McMurray, Fay (Cary) Dickens, Connie (Don) Strohmeyer, and two sons: Willard (Carole) and Lawrence (Susan), daughter-in-law Marilyn, 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grand children and many friends.
