Theresa J. Bloniarz

Theresa J. (Stachowiak) Bloniarz, 83, of Enfield, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital.

Born in Toledo, Ohio, on Sept. 18, 1930, Theresa was the daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Sliwinski) Stachowiak. Theresa was a faithful communicant of St. Adalbert Church and active in many church activities. She was a women's basketball enthusiast and loved playing bingo. Theresa and her husband Joseph enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Florida. But what brought her the most joy were the many large, loud family gatherings at the house.

Theresa is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Joseph E. Bloniarz; their children, Sandra and John Govoni of East Windsor, Michael Bloniarz of Enfield, Joanne Baronowskus of Newington, Carol and James Schadlich of Murrells Inlet, S.C., Kathryn and David Best of South Windsor, Christine and James Van Gilder of Enfield, and Maryanne and Edward Czajkowski of Enfield; her grandchildren, Lynn and Matt Killenbeck, Laura Govoni, Brian Govoni, Jarett Schadlich, Karl Schadlich, and his fiancée, Megan, Sgt. Benjamin and Sara Schadlich, Joseph Van Gilder, Jeffrey Van Gilderp, Rachel Van Gilder, Ashley Van Gilder, Ellen Czajkowski, and Peter Czajkowski; three great-grandchildren, Mia Santina Van Gilder, Colton Killenbeck, and Skylar Schadlich; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, by 9:15 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels for a procession to St. Adalbert Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at St. Adalbert Cemetery.

Theresa's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield.
