Anna M. (Klecman) Rocconella, 85, of Windsor Locks, wife of the late Michael Rocconella entered into eternal rest on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at St. Francis Hospital.
Anna was born Sept. 27, 1928, in Hartford, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Vinsky) Klecman. Anna enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading a good book, or watching both the UConn women and men's basketball teams. She was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and as Anna declared, "Any team that beat the Boston Red Sox."
Anna is survived by eight children, Patty Zukowski, and her husband, Michael, of Somers, Daniel Lupacchino, and his wife, Marie, of Enfield, Francis Lupacchino, and his wife, Patty, of Windsor, Michael Lupacchino of East Hartford, Barbara Lupacchino of Windsor Locks, Robert Rocconella, and his wife, Birgit, of Enfield, Anna Mercey, and her husband, Ron, of Windsor Locks, and (the baby) Michele Hartje, and her husband, Bob, of Canton; many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Anna is also survived by a sister, Pat Chilone of West Hartford and several nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by a son, Joe Rocconella; two sisters, Josephine and Rosemary; and two brothers, Sonny and Michael.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks.
A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
