Nancy and I were in a few of Mr. Demaio's music classes together back at Enfield High. We had so much fun in our times together!! I mostly remember laughter (and playing and singing). I am so very sorry to hear that she has passed.

My cousin Nan,
I miss you sooo much that I cry everyday. I know you wouldn't want me to cry but when you always had a guardian angel by your side to give you strength to carry on and get thru dark days and nights, you were my HERO. I heard the song "The Rose" as I was sitting outside in my yard and listening to the chirping of the birds, and knew without a doubt in my heart it was you singing to me, after the song was over, a beautiful red cardinal appeared in the tree and just sat in peace. I will always be your little Pizzelle patty and continue making them in your honor. Shame on me when I wasn't feeling well and complained at times, and you never did, not once did I ever see you sad or in pain, after all you went thru. Nan I miss you so much but I know that Guido is so happy that his mom is with him, please give my Sammy a hug and smooches for me. Just remember "The Rainbow Bridge", we will all get there and meet again.
Love always Pizzelle Patty XXXOOO

My SweetP,
One week ago today, you journied on to the place where all angels sing. I still can't believe you are really gone. Doug and I went to The Marriott, now The Sheraton and Mike and Maryann's hearts are broken and ache for the loss of the great one, YOU! No longer will I have my Sweetp to share Time Capsules with - this year would have been our 10th year. I don't know how I will ever be able to read through these least 9 years but in time, when I do, I'll remember all the great nights of our Time Capsules - the many bottles of wine, laughter and tears. I feel you all around me and I thank God for you. Didn't I tell you where you were going was going to be unbelievable????? I love you.

Dear Mary Ann,
I was so sad, so heartbroken, to find out on Friday, when I went to wash my clothes, that Nancy had died. From the start, she and you have been so friendly to me at the Laundromat. And I quickly came to see that Nancy was a remarkable person, that she was living her life with courage, that she had a great positive energy - a joy, an appreciation of life, a love - which came through in her smile and in her eyes and which touched so many people. She was, she is, an inspiration to me. Mary Ann, you and your family, and your wonderful daughter Nancy, are in my thoughts and prayers. My heart goes out to you.

Mary-Ann and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Nancy from the store and we had great conversations. I will always treasure our conversations when I was going through the waiting to find out if I had breast cancer. Thankfully it came back negative. I know if it wasn't for Nancy's words of wisdom I would never have been able to make it through those few weeks. You will always be with me. God Bless

The first day I met Nancy we laughed so hard our ribs were hurting. Our bond was formed that day. When jobs changed she was always ready for the next challenge and cancer never got in her way of taking risks. We cried and laughed, but mostly and almost always.. laughed at life. I feel so far away being in Philly, but my heart and soul are with Nancy and her family. I feel blessed that I got to meet her wonderful sister, Christina, who I feel I have known forever, because she spoke of her and loved her deeply. Nancy's eyes and smile lit up any room and is imbedded in my heart forever! She is and will always be an angel to all those she touched in this life. I love you Nancy. Prayers to all of her family and friends! xoxoxoxo Peg

Our hearts go out to our very close friends and extended family Mary Ann, Eddie and Christina Sousa. We will forever be linked together due to the incredible 34 year bond and friendship of our sister's Susan and Nancy. Nancy was a dear friend, Maid of Honor, Godmother and very much a loving "sister" to Sue. I will always be truly grateful to Nancy for all she has done for Sue and our family with her laughter, love and endless caring. Our ties have grown even deeper with our relationships extending to Mary Ann, Eddie and Christina. One big Italian family. We love you all and our thoughts will forever be with you. Nancy was very special and in every sense of the word a star with that million dollar smile and the voice of a goddess. Forever a Scarfo favorite will be Nancy singing the ballad 'The Rose' by Bette Midler. You will sorely be missed. May God bless you all. Mary Ann, Greg, Chris and Pamela Scarfo

My SweetP,
I cant believe I'm looking at your beautiful face on the obituary page. Your determination to fight for life was one that will carry me forever. I learned much from your 19 year journey of battling this dreaded disease and also from these last few weeks when you were facing death. I'll treasure my sleepovers and our nights of laughter and reminiscing. I feel especially blessed to have heard your words last Thurs on how much you enjoyed our talk. I believe you woke the following morning with a peace and resolve that you hadn't experienced before and 4 days later, you were gone.
We shared a precious friendship of complete trust in each other - we always had each other's backs. I miss you so much already but I am so happy your long fight is over- God was merciful.
The bands in Heaven now have another fabulous singer and I know your wings will be protecting all of those loved ones you leave. I'm sure your Dad and Grandma brought your thru the gates and Guido must be so happy to have his mommy home with him - he was such a good buddie.
Rest well my beloved friend - I know you will continue to be by my side. I turned on the radio yesterday and "My Guy" came on - I knew it was you and I laughed thinking back on Vince's party when we sang him that song. Life was sooo good with you!
I'll love you forever
Your SweetP
