Osowiecki, David T.  
David T. Osowiecki, 63, of Suffield, passed away unexpectedly Aug. 25, 2015. David was born Sept. 30, 1951, son of Anna (Rygielski) Osowiecki the late Vincent Osowiecki. He grew up in Enfield and Suffield, having attended St. Adalbert's School, Suffield Academy, and the University of Connecticut. David was a self-employed roofing contractor owning and operating David's Roofing Company for his entire career. David had a love of muscle cars and always regretted selling his cherished 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner. He could tell you the year, make, and model of any car built prior to 1980 just by watching it drive by. David was predeceased by his father, Vincent. He leaves behind his mother, Anna Osowiecki, of West Suffield; his children, Eric Osowiecki and Becky Osowiecki and their mother, Judy Osowiecki, all of Moosup; his brother, Bob Osowiecki and his wife, Diane, of Tennessee; his sister Diane Potemski and her husband, Rick, of Enfield; and his sister Nancy Osowiecki, of Granby; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He also leaves his good friend, Mike Woodin, of Enfield. Special thanks to the health professionals at the Enfield Dialysis Center for the many years of care they provided to David. The funeral services will be Saturday, Aug. 29, at 9 a.m. from the Heritage Funeral Home, 1240 Mountain Road, West Suffield, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 140 Main St., Suffield. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Suffield. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, Aug. 28, from 4 to 7 p.m. For online condolences visit

Olander, Henry T.  
Henry T. Olander, 84, of Manchester, husband of the late Edith M. (Bernard) Olander, passed away peacefully Friday, Aug. 21, 2015, at St. Francis Hospital with family by his side. Henry was born in Wethersfield Aug. 27, 1930, one of 13 children of the late Michael and Nora (Knapp) Olander. He was raised in Wethersfield, then served in the 6th Infantry Regiment of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He and Edith moved to Manchester in 1962 and had resided there since. Prior to his retirement in 2000, Henry was employed for 44 years by the Colt Industrial Park company located at the original Colt Manufacturing building in Hartford. Henry enjoyed spending time with family and friends on the golf course and fixing "things." He was a faithful member of the Gospel Hall in Manchester and was saved in 2008. Henry cherished many of the friends he made there. He is survived by his loving son and daughter, Marc Olander and his wife, Christine, of Tolland, and Catherine Verbridge and her husband, Chris, of Ashford; four grandchildren, Jenna Olander, Caitlyn Verbridge, Cara Verbridge, and Ryan Olander; a brother, Thomas Olander and his wife, Jodi, of Wethersfield; his "second daughter," Jacquie Zazzaro and family; along with many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours are today, Monday, Aug. 24, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Watkins Funeral Home, 142 East Center St., Manchester. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow in St. James Cemetery in Manchester.
