Thibodeau, Cecile  
Cecile Thibodeau, 66, of Vernon, loving wife of Herman Thibodeau, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, at Rockville General Hospital. Born Dec. 16, 1948, in Madawaska, Maine, she was a daughter to Lucille (Fongemie) and the late Leo Dionne. In addition to her husband, Herman, she is survived by her son, Neil, and his wife, Kim, of Ellington; daughter, Shelly Roberts, and her husband, Todd, of Englewood, Colorado; grandchildren, Caelan, Rachel, and Joshua Thibodeau; brothers Fr. Nelson and Danny; and sisters Connie and Charlene. Besides her father, Leo, she was predeceased by her sister, Lorraine. A Mass of Christian Burial for Cecile will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, from St. Bernard Church, 25 St. Bernard Terrace, Vernon, with burial following in St. Bernard Cemetery, Vernon. Per Cecile's request, there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Cecile's name to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., I-91 Tech Ctr., Rocky Hill, CT 06067 or the American Heart Association, 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691. Tobin, Helen S.  
Helen S. Tobin, 90, of Rockville-Vernon, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, at home. She was born Nov. 12, 1924, in Rockville, the daughter of the late Walter A. and Elizabeth (Felber) Smith. She lived in the Vernon area most of her life and was a member of St. Bernard's Church. She retired in 1987 from the Hartford Insurance Group where she was employed for 22 years. She was a member of AARP, Vernon Senior Citizens, Triple S. Club, Hockanum Valley Lunch Club, and secretary for the Franklin Park Social Club for many years. She leaves her daughter, Maureen Echeverry, and her husband, Hector; two granddaughters, Christine Hobbs-Banks, and her fiancé, David Small; and Virginia Murphy and her husband, Robert, all of Vernon. She also leaves five great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Meghan, Sarah, Christopher, and Nicholas. A graveside service for Helen will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, in Grove Hill Cemetery, Vernon. Those who wish may send contributions to a charity of one's choice.
