Albert, Elmer L.  
Elmer L. Albert, 71, of Enfield, loving husband of Bonnie (Garrow) Albert, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015. He was born Feb. 2, 1944, in Madawaska, Maine, the son of Rose (Fongemi) Albert of Stuart, Florida, and the late Adrian Albert. Elmer proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and retired from Westinghouse in Windsor in 2013 after 45 years. Elmer was a member of the American Legion Tanguay Magill Post 80 in Enfield and the East Windsor Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing bingo, and watching NASCAR. In addition to his wife, Bonnie, to whom he was married 47 years, he is also survived by two sons, Joe Albert and his wife, Kim and Steven Albert, all of Enfield; his beloved granddaughter, Ashley Albert; two brothers, Cam Albert and his wife, Pat, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and John Albert and his wife, Nancy of Charlotte, North Carolina; one niece, two nephews, three great-nephews, and his best friends, George and Alice Van Tassel of Somers. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. A funeral service for Elmer will be celebrated on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow in Hazardville Cemetery.
