Anna M. (Drabkin) Sikoski(1923 - 2014)

Anna M. (Drabkin) Sikoski, 90, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 18, 2014, at her residence.

Born July 7, 1923, in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Zdrok. Anna was wed to Charles Drabkin, and in 1957 they relocated to Enfield where they resided until his passing in 1965. She was employed by the post office for over 20 years and that is where she met her second husband, Peter Sikoski, who preceded her in death in 2006. Anna was a faithful communicant of Holy Family Church, and in her free time she enjoyed gardening and spending many nights polka dancing with her late husband, Peter. She also had a great passion for animals, especially birds and her cat, Pretty Girl.

Anna touched many lives and will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind, including her son, James Drabkin, and his wife, Sylvia, of Enfield; her grandchildren, John Drabkin, and his wife, Michelle, of Suffield, and Jessica Pivero, and her husband, Christopher, of Enfield; her great-grandchildren, Kendra, Derek and Wyatt; her caregiver, a.k.a. "her Saint," Pat Saunders; and other family members and friends. Besides her parents and husbands, Anna was preceded in death by her two brothers, Alexander Zdrok and Joseph Randall; and her two sisters, Olga Bondaruk and Jennie Laxman.

Relatives and friends may gather on Thursday, April 24, at 9 a.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, for a procession to Holy Family Church for Anna's Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be held privately at Hillside Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 23, at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m.
