Carolyn M. Abo

Carolyn M. Abo, 75, of East Hartford, formerly of Manchester, beloved wife of Frank Y. Abo, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011, at Manchester Memorial Hospital.

Carolyn was born on June 22, 1935, in Manchester, daughter of the late Howard and Violet (Tedford) Cassells. She was raised in Manchester, was a graduate of Manchester High School and had been a resident of East Hartford for over 60 years. Prior to her retirement in 1986, Carolyn was an accountant for Traveler's Insurance Co. in Hartford for over 25 years. She was a longtime member of St. John Episcopal Church in East Hartford and enjoyed reading, cooking, and she was an avid crafter.

In addition to her husband, Frank, she is survived by her two daughters, Charlene Baldwin, and her husband, Dan, of Limerick, Maine and Gina (Huchro) Raymond, and her husband, Robert Raymond, of Enfield; her three grandchildren, Amy Anderson of Limerick, Maine, and Christopher H. Huchro and Amanda M. Huchro, both of Enfield; and her two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Marissa Winters of Limerick, Maine. Carolyn was predeceased by her son, Stanley H. Huchro, and her sister, Barbara Begin.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 26, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. in St. John Episcopal Church, 12 Rector St., East Hartford. Burial will follow in East Cemetery, Manchester.
