David Wesley Hollister

David Wesley Hollister, 58, of Vernon, passed away on Nov. 27, 2012.

Born in Manchester on Sept. 27, 1954, he was the son of the late Hudson Wesley Hollister.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Paula Ann (Cavanagh) Hollister, son, Scott David Hollister, daughter, Aimee Elizabeth Hollister, and grandson, Carter Hudson Hollister, with whom he resided. Also survived by daughters, Belinda Lynn Hollister, Kelly Ann Hollister; and brothers, Gary Hollister and wife, Doreen, and Dale Hollister. His extended brothers and sisters, William Cavanagh, Timothy and Valerie Cavanagh, Maureen and Robert Brown, Patricia and Craig Anderson, and Mary Cavanagh; his aunt, LaVonne and uncle, Bill Cavanagh, 26 adoring nieces and nephews; his best friends, Arnold and Elaine Lerch and Fred and Christine Johnson.

Dave was a loving husband, father, "Papa", uncle, brother, and friend. Known for his love of fishing and hunting by all who knew and loved him, he passed unexpectedly in his second home of "PA." while hunting. He was an expert in his field of auto body in which he worked for over 30 years. Dave was always there to lend a helping hand or ear, a hearty laugh, and warm smile for all of his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

There will be a celebration of his life on Sunday, Dec. 2, at Rockville Fish & Game Club, Rockville Fish and Game Road in Vernon, from 1 to 5 p.m.
