Dolores Lewis, 82, of Enfield, beloved wife of Robert Lewis for 60 years, entered into eternal peace Saturday, May 3, 2014, at the Hebrew Home and Hospital in West Hartford.
Dolores was born and raised in New Bedford, Massachusetts, and had lived in Enfield for over 50 years, where she raised her family. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church, where she was a former Catechism teacher. Dolores also volunteered much of her time at the Enfield Food Shelf. In her free time, she was an avid bowler, reader, and also enjoyed knitting and bingo.
Besides her husband, Bob, she is survived by her four children, Michael Lewis of South Hadley, Massachusetts, David Lewis of Springfield, Dianne Cannon of Springfield, and Mary Rader of Enfield; one brother, Albert Crowe of Holyoke, Massachusetts; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather Wednesday, May 7, at 9 a.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, for a procession to Holy Family Church for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial. Committal will follow at St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held today, Tuesday, May 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Leete-Stevens.
