Harold Patrick Sullivan

Harold Patrick Sullivan, age 78, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 23, 2014, at Touchpoints at Bloomfield, (formerly Wintonbury Care), in Bloomfield.

Born in Enfield on June 28, 1935, he was the son of the late Harold E. and Josephine F. (McCarthy) Sullivan. Harold attended local schools and was a 1953 graduate of Enfield High. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church, and for 38 years he was employed by Northeast Utilities as a nuclear licensing technician until his retirement in 1994. Harold was a proud member of the United States military, serving with the National Guard for both the Army and the Air Force at Fort Dix.

Harold is survived by his sister, Maureen R. Gurreri, and her husband, Samuel, of Enfield; his nephew, Thomas E. Gurreri of Enfield; and many loving cousins and friends, especially his cousin, Mary Croteau of Enfield.

Harold's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the staff of Wintonbury Care, as well as the staff of Masonicare Hospice, for the extraordinary services they provided for him.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 27, beginning with a procession at 9 a.m. from Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road. Harold's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road. Burial will follow in St. Patrick King Street Cemetery.

Harold's family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 26, from 6 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Harold's name to Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd., Enfield, CT 06082, or to Masonicare Hospice, 111 Founders Plaza, Suite 200, East Hartford, CT 06108.
