John P. Malenfant, 84, of Vernon, passed away on Friday, Dec. 27, 2013.
The services will be postponed due to the weather.
Relatives and friends may join the family on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville, CT 06066 from 4 to 6 p.m.
A funeral home service will be held Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Very sad to hear John Paul has passed. My thoughts are with all of you. I have very fond memories growing up with my childhood friends, Linda, John, Joe & Lisa. John Paul and Helen were good friends of my parents, Jackie & Eddie. Let's believe they are all together once again.

John Paul was my mother Norma's Brother.... I loved that side of my family and him very much. As time passes and we loose lived ones as I sit here and just heard the news my heart goes out to my cousins for your loss ! Your fathere was a gental man with a great laugh he will always be in my heart and now with his wife sister and parents in heaven. The circle is complete! Love to you all
