Josephine (Wezowicz) Wiecek

Josephine (Wezowicz) Wiecek, 97, of Enfield, loving wife of the late Adam Wiecek, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at St. Francis Hospital.

Josephine was born in Windsor Locks, the daughter of the late Jan and Magdalena (Kopec) Wezowicz. She was a longtime and faithful parishioner of St. Adalbert Church.

She is survived by her three children, Stanley Wiecek, and his wife, Irene, of Enfield, Cecelia Wyskiel, and her husband, Eugeniusz, of Bristol, and Krystyna Puzon of Enfield, with whom she lived; seven grandchildren, John Wiecek, Barbara Robert, Mark Wyskiel, Adam Puzon, John Wyskiel, Barbara Hadley, Margaret Veilleux; 12 great-grandchildren, Emily, Alex, Stephania, Gabriella, Joseph, Alexandra, Nicholas, Julia, Brianna, James, Jacqueline, and Ariana; and several nieces and nephews. Josephine was predeceased by three brothers, Marian Kopec, Stanislaw and Wladyslaw Wezowicz.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, with a funeral procession gathering at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Adalbert Church. Burial will follow in St. Adalbert Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Josephine may be made to the Felician Sisters Adult Daycare, 1333 Enfield St., Enfield, CT 06082.
