Laura J. Judd

Laura J. Judd, 80, of Stafford Springs, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at Evergreen Health Care Center.

She was born in Springfield, daughter of the late Charles F. and Mary E. (Haeffner) Weckwerth. Laura directed summer camps for the Girl Scouts and 4-H, retired from Springfield College as a professor, and was a member of the Down to Earth CSA, Community Support of Agriculture, as well as the organizer of the Connecticut Blanket for the Connecticut Sheep Breeders Association.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Kirby E. Judd; four children, Michael Judd, and his wife, Gretchen, Mary Pechie, and her husband, Calvin Connors, Laura Mello, and her husband, Arthur, and Lawrence Judd; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, Aug, 30, 2013, with a procession forming by 9 a.m. at Introvigne Funeral Home Inc., 51 E. Main St., Stafford Springs, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Edward Church, High Street, Stafford Springs. Burial will be held privately.

Calling hours are on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
