Marian (Cacio) Accarpio

Marian (Cacio) Accarpio, 92, of Manchester, beloved wife of the late Paul J. Accarpio Sr., died peacefully Aug. 26, 2012, at Manchester Manor.

She was born Oct. 30, 1919, in Hartford, daughter of the late Angelo and Christine (Serignese) Cacio, and had been a resident of Manchester for 53 years. Marian was a longtime member of the Church of the Assumption and prior to her retirement she had worked for many years at One Hour Martinizing. She loved to play bingo, listening to music, and to join in for sing-a-longs. She was a wonderful cook and loved to bake Italian cookies for the holidays.

She is survived by two sons, Paul J. Accarpio Jr., and his wife, Linda, of Manchester, Dominic P. Accarpio, and his wife, Eva, of Berlin; her daughter, Christine Lenart, and her husband, Carl, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; her brother, Pat Cacio, and his wife, Shirley, of Vernon; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; very special nieces, Diane Sufrin, also her goddaughter, and Linda Mille, both of South Windsor, along with numerous other nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Louis Cacio.

Marian's family wishes to express its heartfelt thanks to the nurses and aides at Manchester Manor for the wonderful care provided to Marian.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption, 29 S. Adams St., Manchester. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will be held Thursday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester.
