Mary Elizabeth Little Luscinskas went home to join her beloved husband, Frank, her loving parents, and her dear friends on Feb. 23, 2013.
Mary was born in Hartford on June 25, 1918. She was the daughter of Thomas M. and Elizabeth (Devine) Little. She was a longtime resident of Windsor Locks, graduating from St. Mary Grammar School, the Chaffee School, and Morse Business College. Mary worked as a secretary for C. H. Dexter where she met the love of her life, her husband, Frank, who died young and unexpectedly. Mary always cherished their short time together. Mom's first priority was always her family and her unwavering Catholic faith. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary Church. Mom was a great cook and loved to share her table with family and friends and always made room for one more. She was blessed by wonderful friends in Windsor Locks and Stuart, Fla.; her "Alpha Club" meetings with Gert, Katie, Margaret, and Alice will now be held in heaven.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Tom, Sarah, Bill (Belinda), and Mary Ann; and her grandchildren, Julia and Clare. She also leaves her sisters-in-law, Bernice, Betty, and Mary Lou.
Mary's family is very grateful for the loving care she received from the staff at Jefferson House and Hospice.
Visitation hours will be on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral procession will gather at Windsor Locks Funeral Home on Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Saint Mary Church, 42 Spring St., Windsor Locks. Burial will be held in St. Catherine Cemetery in the Broad Brook section of East Windsor.
