Mary (Rinaldi) Falzone

Mary (Rinaldi) Falzone, 103, of Enfield, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at St. Joseph's Residence in Enfield.

She was born Sept. 3, 1909, in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, daughter of the late Louis and Rosina (Allegro) Rinaldi, and had resided in Enfield most of her life. As a young girl she had resided in Naro, Italy, for eight years before returning back to Thompsonville in 1923. Prior to retiring many years ago Mary had been employed by the former Bigelow Sanford Carpet Co., Thompsonville. She was a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Women's Auxiliary, a member of the Rinaldi-Fede Post No. 17 Auxiliary, AARP Chapter 1209, and parishioner of St. Patrick Church. Mary volunteered many hours at Parkway Pavilion Healthcare over the years, her life revolved around her loving family and dear friends.

She is survived by her loving and caring daughter-in-law, Ruth Falzone of Pennsylvania; her two loved and cherished grandchildren, Joseph Peter Falzone and wife, Barbara, and Caroline (Falzone) Sabatini; four beloved great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Christopher Sabatini, and John Thomas and Joseph Anthony Falzone; a sister, Colagera Ala in Italy; several devoted nieces and nephews who helped a lot when she needed them, many cousins, all her beautiful friends, especially Mary Porcello and Charlie Ragno. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph, and her loving son, John Falzone, whom she missed dearly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Chapel at St. Joseph's Residence/ Little Sisters of the Poor, 1365 Enfield St., Enfield. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at St. Joseph's Residence on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, from 4 to 6 p.m. Interment will be private in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery, Enfield.

In appreciation for the wonderful care and attention given to her while at St. Joseph's Residence she had requested memorial donations be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 1365 Enfield St., Enfield, CT 06082.
