Mary Jane Lamont Theriault left this world too soon on Wednesday, July 3, 2013.
Mary Jane, the daughter of William Lamont and Helen Bania Lamont was born May 26, 1948, in Springfield, Mass., and raised in Enfield. She graduated from Our Lady of the Angels Academy (1966) and Central Connecticut State College (1970). After graduation, she moved to Stratford, where she worked for the State of Connecticut: Department of Unemployment and People's Bank, leaving to have and raise her daughter, Jennifer. During that time, Mary was involved with the Lordship School PTA, Brownies, Girl Scouts, and the Lordship Community Church. For a number of years, she coordinated and directed the children's Christmas pageant at the church. Mary returned to the workforce working at Trumbull Animal Hospital and J&S Baking Goods before moving to South Carolina to live with her father and brother. While in Mauldin, S.C., Mary worked in the Bakery/Deli at Bi-Lo. In 2011, she moved to Augusta, Maine. Of all the jobs that Mary had, her most important and successful one was raising her daughter and seeing her grow up to be an amazing, strong, compassionate, friendly, independent young woman who made her parents very proud every day.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Rose and her husband, Brad, of Chelsea, Maine; her sister Nancy Eltman and her husband, Joe, and their son Joey of Waterbury, Conn.; her brother Billy Lamont of Greenville, S.C.; and her best buddy, Lucky, a Jack Russell mix; along with a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
