Robert "Bob" Beckhorn

Robert "Bob" Beckhorn, 53, longtime resident of Coventry, passed away peacefully Friday, May 9, 2014, after a brief illness surrounded by his family.

He was born Oct. 26, 1960, to the George Beckhorn (late) and Ethel C (Miller) Beckhorn. He was the owner of Coventry Expert Home Maintenance and Repair. Bob had a generous heart and especially enjoyed helping his older clients. Bob proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. He was an animal lover, an avid golfer and a fan of fast cars.

He is survived by his wife, Gayle McDonald (Beckhorn); sisters-in-law, Kim McDonald and Dr. Maria Ellis, Karen McDonald, Donna McDonald; brother-in-law, Daniel McDonald; brother, James Beckhorn; sister, Kim McLean; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Those who knew Bob appreciated his humor and tenacity, which were with him until the time he passed. He will be missed by his golf buddies, both cheaters and non-cheaters alike. You all know who you are.

Special thanks to Brian Henry of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, for sharing in Bob's last great round of golf.

As was Bob's wishes, services will be private. A memorial service will be announced.

Bob requests that in his memory random acts of kindness be bestowed to those in need.

But seldom ever seen

Let nothing come between

Simple man, simple dream."
