Robert R. "Rob" Richards

Robert R. "Rob" Richards, 39, of Manchester, formerly of Hartford, loving husband for 17 years of Karen M. (Masse) Richards, passed away unexpectedly at his home Friday, Feb. 8, 2013.

Rob was born in Hartford on Jan. 21, 1974, to the late Frances Coleman and the late Russell Richards, and lived all of his life in Manchester and Hartford. He was a former employee of Middlesex Supply Co. and enjoyed music, fishing, and spending time with his family.

With his wife, he is survived by five children and two step-children, Jourdyn Conroy, Gage Frascona, and Ryan, Kaitlynn, and Karissa Richards; Micheal Grondin and Alena Grondin; his sister, Dori Coleman-Elliott; his maternal grandmother, Doris M. Coleman; his aunt, Doris Coleman, and his uncle, Darrell Richards; his mother-in-law, Carol Masse; and sister-in-law, Christine Masse; cousins and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his longtime best friend, Michael Squires; and many other friends. Besides his parents, Rob was predeceased by a sister, Kelley R. Netupski.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, Feb. 15, at the Watkins Funeral Home, 142 E. Center St., Manchester, from 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
