Ronald "Ron" H. Boucher, 81, of Enfield, loving husband of Margaret "Snookie" (Smith) Boucher, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital.
Ron was born April 29, 1932, in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, the son of the late Hector and Lola (Landry) Boucher. Ron proudly served in the United States Army
during the Korean War
. He worked throughout the area at several auto parts stores as a parts counterman. Ron was the owner of Ron's Auto Parts and sponsored a Petticoat girl's softball team. He was a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars
and the AMVETS, an avid NASCAR fan, and was involved in the former Enfield Mini Bike Club.
In addition to his wife, Snookie, Ron is also survived by his two children, Hollie Tenerowicz, and her husband, Bruce, of Mendon, Mass., and Ronald "Speedie" Boucher of Enfield; three grandchildren, Nicole Tenerowicz of Indiana, Brent and Veronica Tenerowicz, both of Mendon, Mass.; a brother-in-law, Andrew "Butch" Smith Jr., and his wife, Janet, of East Windsor; sisters-in-law, Patricia Boudreau, and her husband, Francis, of Somers, and Darlene Smith-Ash, and her husband, Michael, of Springfield; a brother, Floyd Boucher of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Ronald's family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Masonicare for the wonderful care Ronald received.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Saturday, June 15, 2013, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. A funeral service for Ron will begin at 4 p.m. and at the conclusion military honors will be accorded. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
