Rose (Galipeau) Sheridan

Rose (Galipeau) Sheridan, 81, of Vernon, widow of Robert (Bob) M. Sheridan who passed Jan. 9, 2013, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, peacefully, at Hartford Hospital after a brief illness.

Rose was born Nov. 1, 1931 in Berlin, N.H., the daughter of the late Michael and Parmelia (DeBois) Galipeau. She graduated from Berlin High School. She was a communicant of St Bernard's Church, Rockville, where she was active with her church. She worked in the Vernon Public School System as a Special Education Teacher's Aide. Her family and friends were truly the most important things in her life.

She was the loving mother to her children; a son, Thomas and Karen Sheridan of Vernon, their son, Shaun, and daughter, Jennifer; her son, Michael and Debra Sheridan of Ellington, and their sons, Nicholas and Andrew; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Barbara Sheridan, Vernon; and a host of nieces, nephews, and longtime friends. She was predeceased by a brother, Norman Galipeau, and a sister, Rita Popielarczyk.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Bernard's Church located at 25 St. Bernard Terrace, Rockville, on Monday, Feb. 4, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery, Vernon.
