Scott T. Putnam

Scott T. Putnam, 54, of Willington, passed away peacefully Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, with his family and friends by his side.

He was born March 24, 1958, in Hartford to Perley T. and Lorraine (Heffernan) Putnam. His passions included traveling, snowboarding, his summers in Ocean Park, Maine, spending time with friends and family, and living life to its fullest. He was a special needs teacher for the New Britain School District for almost 30 years.

He is survived by his partner of 27 years, George Plaumann; his father, Perley Putnam, and his wife, Anita; his sister, Kelli Deliso; and his brothers, Brian, Jimmy, and David; along with many nieces, nephews, and great friends. He is predeceased by his mother, Lorraine.

There will be a memorial service at 10 a.m. at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Road (Route 195), Tolland, on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012.

Relatives and friends may visit following the service at the funeral home until noon. A reception to celebrate Scott's life will be held at Georgina's in Bolton following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Scott's name to The Ocean Park Association, P.O. Box 7296, Ocean Park, ME 04063. Please add in the memo line either Tennis or Rec. Hall.
