Shirley Watson Obituary

Shirley Ann (Holbrook) Watson, 64, of Vernon, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013.

She was born in Hartford on Feb. 13, 1949, the daughter of the late Donald and Irene (Sullivan) Holbrook. Shirley was an amazing person with a huge heart and a smile that could brighten any room. She was an adoring and wonderful mother. Shirley will be greatly missed.

She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Natasha D. Watson, and her husband, Mike Dumas, of East Hartford; her sister, Patricia Johnson of Vernon; four nieces and a nephew, Nadeine, Heather, Melanie, Jennifer, and Donald. Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by her sister, Beverly, and nephew, Billy Mankee.

In place of memorial services, it was Shirley's wish that everyone remember her and all the great memories they shared together.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Lupus Foundation of America Inc., 2000 L. Street NW, Suite 410, Washington, D.C. 20036. For online condolences please visit
