Shirley Bellucci, 69, of East Hartford, passed away Monday, Nov. 25, 2013.
She was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, a daughter of the late Albert and Gertrude (Sanborne) Vallier. She worked at BF Goodrich (Chandler Evans) for many years. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and was a member of AARP, the East Hartford South End Senior Center. She enjoyed playing bingo, her trips to the casino, and was an ardent UConn Huskies girls basketball fan.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Harry Bellucci. Shirley is survived by her son Michael and his wife, Cheryl, of Red Oak, Texas; her sister Ruby Washington and her husband, Edward, of Bethel; her four brothers, Reginald and his wife Joan of Manchester, Howard and his wife Deborah of East Hartford, Dr. Robert and his wife Barbara of Greer, S.C., Donald Valliere and his wife, Peggy, of South Windsor; her grandchildren Sara, Audrey, and Vincent Bellucci; her great-grandson Christopher Bellucci; and her nieces Tammy, Corrina, and BJ.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3 from the Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, with burial to follow in Silver Lane cemetery, all in East Hartford.
Visiting hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Shirley's name may be made to East Hartford Community Shelter,www.crtct.org
