Walter J. Fabrycki, 86, of Enfield, widower of Rose Marie (Barile) Fabrycki (1986), entered into eternal peace Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Parkway Pavilion in Enfield.
He was born Sept. 13, 1927, in Pennsylvania to the late John and Josephine Fabrycki and had been a resident of the Enfield community since 1957. Walter proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy
during World War II
. He was employed as a plasterer for most of his life before retiring. He enjoyed the outdoors and enjoyed fishing in his free time.
Walter is survived by two sons, Joseph Fabrycki, and his wife, Carol, of Springfield, Alexander Fabrycki, and his wife, Maryann, of Munson, Massachusetts; two daughters, Lynn Santanella, and her husband, Robert, of Enfield, and Susan Galli of Southington. He also leaves eight grandchildren, James, Charles, Dan, Nicole, Christopher, Jonathan, Eric, and Jennifer; and a brother, John Fabrycki of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Family and friends will gather at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, for a procession to St. Martha Church for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial. Committal with military honors will follow at St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery.
Walter's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Leete-Stevens.
