William D. Barnett Jr.

William D. Barnett Jr., 20, of Stafford Springs, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident with his special friend, Alyssa Grenier.

He was born in Manchester, son of William D. Barnett Sr. and Marlene (Poehler) Barnett of Stafford Springs. Billy worked for Tradesmen of New England as an HVAC tech. He was a member of St. Edward Parish. Billy enjoyed working with his father on pig roasts, playing Xbox with his friends, and archery.

Besides his loving parents, Billy is survived by his sister, Megan Barnett; maternal grandmother, Dottie Poehler; a special aunt and cousin, Lori Dempsey, and her fiancé, Roger Guilmette Jr., and Ashley Dempsey; as well as several other aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. He was our gentle giant; his friends meant the world to him.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, with a procession forming by 9 a.m. at Introvigne Funeral Home Inc., 51 E. Main St., Stafford Springs, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Edward Church, High Street, Stafford Springs. Burial will be held privately. Calling hours are on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
