Albert Kent Obituary

Albert R. Kent, 77, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Parkway Pavilion Healthcare in Enfield.

He was born on Sept. 29, 1935, in Hartford, a son of the late Ernest A. and Mae (Lucas) Kent, and had resided in Enfield most of his life. He was a graduate of Hartford Public High School in 1954. Albert joined the U.S. Air Force, having served his country honorably and then enlisted in the Air National Guard's 103rd Squadron. Prior to retiring, Al was employed for 22 years with Crouse Hinds Inc. He was a member of the American Legion, Enfield.

Albert is survived by his loving daughter, Paula A. Grimaldi and husband, James, of Enfield; his two beloved granddaughters, Brianna and Francesca Grimaldi; his former wife, Dolores (Ponte) Kent. He is also survived by three brothers, Robert Kent of Clinton, Harry Kent of Somers, and Donald Kent of Glastonbury; along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Richard Kent.

There will be no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 10 a.m. in St. Bernard Church, 426 Hazard Ave., Enfield. Interment with military honors will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Rocky Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his memory may be to the Parkway Pavilion Recreational Fund, 1157 Enfield St., Enfield, CT 06082.
