Alexander Laska Obituary
He was born Oct. 12, 1925, in Ellington, son of the late Francis and Martha (Suchecki) Laska. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his children Michael Laska and his wife, Patricia, of Stafford Springs, Karen Mathews and her husband, David, Mark Laska and his wife, Cynthia, and Sandra Laska, all of Ellington. He also leaves his grandchildren Christopher Mathews and his wife, Lorin, Joshua Mathews, Erin Laska, Alexander Laska, Jacqueline Reed, and Myranda Laska; and his great-granddaughter, Jordan Mathews.
Relatives and friends may join the family on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville, CT 06066.
A funeral home service will follow at noon. Burial will be held at St. Bernard Cemetery, Vernon.

My Dad, Ernie Jacob worked at L&M, and my Mom, Arline, did book keeping for L&M. I remember swimming at your house as a child, and always thought you had a very fancy pool!! I also remember how kind Al was, and how he would joke. My Mom was telling me last night she and my Dad were with your parents in Ellington when John Glenn landed on the moon. She also shared what a great man your Dad was, very kind and friendly. I have wonderful memories of your family, and my parents were very fond of your parents. From my Mom and me, all our condolences.
