Charles Carsky Obituary
He was born Aug. 14, 1938, in Milwaukee, Wis., to the late Charles L. Carsky and Lydia (Bucek) Carsky.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lynn (Richardson) Carsky of Vernon, and was a loving father of his son Brad Carsky and his grandchildren Kim and Chris Carsky of Ellington; and daughter Gail (Carsky) Smith and husband, Craig Smith, of Colchester; sister-in-laws Janis (Richardson) Husak of Oconomowoc, Wis., and Karen (Richardson) and husband, Jim Vivian, of Franklin, Wis. He is further survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews in Wisconsin.
Charles graduated from Marquette High School in 1956 and Marquette University in 1960. He married Mary Lynn in 1961 and moved to Vernon in 1966. He was an applications engineer at (CHR) Saint-Gobain in New Haven until his retirement in 2003. In his later years, he bred and exhibited Tonkinese cats and was active in the Damn Yankees Cat Club and served as its treasurer for many years. After retirement he became an avid reader and enjoyed traveling. He and Mary Lynn traveled to many countries around the world. He particularly enjoyed Cancun, where his Connecticut and Wisconsin family spent a week in January every year since 1987.
Calling hours will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road, Vernon with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m., from St. Joseph Church, Vernon. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

My condolences to Mary & family - I had the pleasure of knowing Chuck years ago, and working with him at CHR. What a great guy. He always had an interest in other people's perceptions and merged his personality with his business - which was always fun when you were with him. He was a rare and unique gentleman, & I thank God for getting to know him. Time to rest, Chuck - hope to see you again.

Mary and family,

We have known Chuck and Mary for the last 45 years through the Fifth Wheel Club. Through the years we have shared many good times and laughs together. Chuck was a great guy. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his family.

To Mary, Brad and Gail my sincere sympathies. I remember meeting Chuck and Mary many years ago at my first cat show. We all became good friends from that day.
