Chester Haughn Obituary
The son of the late Chester and Elsie (Main) Haughn, Chester was born in Concord, Mass., and had lived in the community since 1958. A dedicated worker, he was employed for Somers Sanitation, retiring after 35 years with the company. During his free time, he often enjoyed taking road trips, especially north to Vermont.
He is survived by two brothers, Sidney Haughn, and Bob Haughn and his wife, Arlene, all of Somers; and a sister, Doris Flood and her husband, David, of Brookline, Vt. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at New West Cemetery in Somers.
There are no calling hours.
Donations in Chester's memory may be made to the Somers Ambulance Assn., 400 Main St., Somers, CT 06071; or to the American Diabetes Association, 2080 Silas Deane Highway, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
